I am seeking re-election to the Ulster County Legislature in 2025 because of my deep belief in the value of participating in the life of my community and my desire to encourage you to participate, as well. As a life-long Democrat, my commitment is to transparent, fair, and progressive forms of government. As an inclusive and pragmatic p

As a life-long Democrat, my commitment is to transparent, fair, and progressive forms of government. As an inclusive and pragmatic problem-solver, I want efficient, affordable ways to live well together and care for each other and our incredible natural world.

In my prior terms, I promoted healthy, active lifestyles for children and families and assisted in the introduction and expansion of creative and sustainable forms of regional economic development, such as film production and trail development. In my prior terms, I promoted healthy, active lifestyles for children and families and assisted in the introduction and expansion of creative and sustainable forms of regional economic development, such as film production and trail development. I worked hard to complete the construction of the Ashokan Rail Trail and to keep it open during our very difficult pandemic years -- now we need to connect it into Kingston!
I am also focused on providing broadband and satellite service throughout the county, assisting farmers with carbon sequestration and resiliency, and coordinating with towns to address affordable housing needs, while supporting diverse, inclusive responses to social issues in our community.
